Daniel Sortica
Daniel Sortica is an Operating Partner working with portfolio companies and WHOI teams to identify and execute robust commercialization strategies. As an MBA Intern in 2022, Daniel worked with portfolio company Olukun Minerals on their strategy and product development and worked with the entire Propeller team running industry research.
Daniel is a 2023 Harvard Business School MBA, and is particularly interested in seaweed farming and the future possibilities of seasteads. Daniel previously worked in management consulting as a manager at Bain & Company. He was part of the Santiago office and has vast international experience, having worked in projects in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Finland, Denmark, Australia and Mongolia, focusing on mining, energy, private equity, cosmetics and retail.
Daniel was born and raised in the countryside of southern Brazil, and studied mechanical engineering with a focus on biochemistry and synthetic biology at University of Sao Paulo. In his free time, Daniel loves hiking, diving, skiing and kitesurfing.
